Replacement Text

 

Modify Keys > Replacement Text Tab

 

 

This tab contains the text that is played back into another application. Either type the replacement text into this field or copy and paste the text from another source. The Replacement Text field holds up to 65,000 characters of text.
 

Rich Text

Select this option to display components that allow for rich text in the Replacement Text edit box. Use the components to create the rich text or copy the rich text from another source and paste into the edit box. The rich text will be pasted into applications that accept rich text.

 

 

Misc Keys
Insert a variety of keys (listed below) to control the movement of the text cursor.

Select the key needed and it is inserted into the replacement text to the right of where the text cursor was positioned.

To insert an Enter or Carriage Return, position the text cursor where needed and press the Enter key.
 

üNote: The Misc Keys only work when using the Keyboard method to play back keystrokes. 

 

Commands
Add additional text playback functionality by clicking on one of the options described below.

              

Date/Time
Insert a date or time into an application as part of the replacement text.

 

Delay
Add a delay to the text playback. The shortkey pauses the amount of delay time scheduled.

 

Insert Hyperlink

Embed a text hyperlink into the receiving application.

 

Insert Image

Insert an image into the receiving application.

 

Symbols
ShortKeys offers support for a variety of international symbols and other characters. Click on the Symbols button to open a chart of all symbols available for use as replacement text.

 

Wait for Keypress
The Wait for Keypress option halts the playback of the text until the key specified is pressed. During the wait time, manually type any text required. Once the designated key is pressed, the shortkey resumes.
