Launching a Shortkey

Use Suffix Keys, Solitary Usage and Use Punctuation Characters

Our sample shortkey shown above has an activation of hte. In order to run this shortkey, you must first type Space or Enter, type h t e and then press Space or Enter or a punctuation key.

You need to type SpaceEnter or one of the Solitary Usage Separator Characters (defined in Options, Preferences, Playback) before the shortkey activation because the Solitary Usage option is enabled.

The SpaceEnter or a punctuation key triggers the shortkey activation when the Use Suffix Keys and Use Punctuation Characters options are enabled.

Settings: Use Suffix Keys and Use Punctuation Characters

The settings to launch a shortkey are found by clicking Options, Preferences, Playback and then the General tab from the ShortKeys window. For this example the Use Suffix Keys and Use Punctuation Characters options are selected.
