June 16, 2014 – Kaysville, UT Insight Software Solutions, Inc. has announced that there are a number of less well known benefits to the shortcut key software program, in addition to the advantages that everyone knows about such as increasing productivity, decreasing time typing repetitive text and reducing the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Some of the lesser known benefits of the shortcut key software program include the following: Play back text through the clipboard rather than type letter by letter in order to speed the playback of longs strings of text or to preserve text formatting. A Rich Text option allows for text playback in different fonts, colors, sizes, and formatting options. The wait for key press option pauses the playback of the shortkey to allow the user to add custom text to the playback. When finished with the customized text, press a designated key such as ESC to have the shortkey resume its playback. This allows for on the fly customization as needed.

ShortKeys is a macro utility allowing users to set up replacement text or paragraphs for any given number of user defined keystrokes. ShortKeys monitors the keyboard activity on a global nature and anytime a user defined keystroke combination (shortkey) is typed in, it will be replaced with the replacement text. It replaces a text string of up to 32 characters with a word, sentence, paragraph or several paragraphs, saving the user time by not having to manually type text. This also allows for errors in typing to be eliminated. Individuals may enter an unlimited number of replacement text combinations. The replacement text may be up to 65,536 characters in length.
