Take ShortKeys for a ride to rid the R-e-p-e-t-i-t-i-v-e Typing Blues
Kaysville, UT - Insight Software Solutions, Inc. has
released ShortKeys 2, a major upgrade to the popular keyboard shortcut utility.
ShortKeys allows users to set up replacement text, or paragraphs, for any
given number of user defined keystrokes. ShortKeys monitors the keyboard
activity and anytime a user defined keystroke combination (ShortKey) is
typed, it will be replaced with the replacement text.
Those who do any repetitive typing will immediately recognize the benefits
of ShortKeys. Support centers frequently receive the same questions over
and over again. Create ShortKeys for frequently asked questions to
considerably shorten response time and improve productivity. Drop
boilerplate text for any number of professions, such as legal, medical,
real estate, or even software development into a ShortKey. Use ShortKeys
for email addresses, URL's, common expressions, or anything else that you
end up typing more than once or twice.
In addition to a new modern look, ShortKeys now supports navigation keys
such as Tab, Enter, Backspace, Delete, the Arrow keys and others. Enter
information on forms or other data entry fields with just one ShortKey.
Play back the text in the first field, Tab to the second, enter data, Tab
to the third and so on with a single ShortKey.
A new suffix option allows users to insert common endings to words, such as
ing, -ed, -ment and others. Now use additional punctuation characters to
trigger ShortKey activations. Place the program in a suspend mode from the
System Tray icon menu to temporarily prevent playback of replacement text.
Network administrators can use the new "Silent Install" option to quickly
deploy the program across a network.
ShortKeys allows a shortcut to contain as many as 32 characters with an
optional two prefix characters or a suffix key that can be used to trigger
the replacement text. In addition, each ShortKey may contain up to 3,000
characters of replacement text. Create virtually an unlimited number of
ShortKeys per file. Multiple files of shortcut combinations may also be
created.
ShortKeys runs under Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/2003/Vista, costs $19.95(US), and
can be ordered securely online from www.shortkeys.com. Multi-user and site
licenses are available. You can download a free, fully functional, 30-day
trial version of ShortKeys from the same Web address.
